So, so, so good. These turkey burgers are incredibly tasty. You will want to eat the chipotle mayonnaise on everything (like French fries!). A cold beer washes these down perfectly & the august salad makes a perfect side dish.
This burger combo was so good, Jediah made the same thing for breakfast, but instead of the turkey burger he replaced it with an egg over-easy (see the picture below)! What a great way to use leftovers.
spicy smoky turkey burgers.
serves 4
for the burgers.
1 lb. free-range ground turkey
2 cloves of garlic, grated
2 tsp. dried oregano
1 chili, deseeded & minced
1 tsp. lime zest
sea salt & cracked pepper
- Mix together in a bowl, then form 4 equal sized patties. Let sit in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow for the flavor to develop.
- Preheat a grill pan or a grill to medium-high heat. Drizzle the patties with a little olive oil & cook for 4 minutes per side.

4 slices of sharp cheese, such as cheddar or Gruyere
4 English muffins, toasted
4 slices of tomato
4 slices of onion ( the onion, you can throw on the grill with the burgers & flip during the same 4 minute increments to add to the smokey flavor).

1/3 cup Vegenaise or mayonnaise of your choice
1 clove of garlic
1 TBL chives or green onions, minced
sea salt & cracked pepper
- Combine in a small bowl.
