Harold Garde has been painting for over 60 years, influenced by his abstract expressionist background & dabbling with the figurative. His work is a blend of seriousness with a bit of playful whimsy. Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet Harold & see his studio. He is such an open artist & person--I am thankful for the experience.

His new work will be shown at the Emery Community Arts Center on the University of Maine Farmington's campus from July 6 - August 12, 2012. If you're in the area, come and check out some of his work in Harold Garde's People, Places and Things

happy eatings & cheers!
